The new wing FLYSURFER AVID
New FLYSURFER AVID – The ultimate freestyle machine
If you are looking for a wing that gives you maximum freedom in freestyle tricks, stability in gusts, and speed without compromise, the new FLYSURFER AVID is here. This wing was designed for riders who demand precision in every moment and progress in every ride. It represents the ideal balance between high performance and affordability.

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS:
- Effortless low-end power for quick starts
- Locked-in profile stability and explosive pop for jumps
- Intuitive and easy handling for all skill levels
TECHNOLOGY: UPE ARAMID UX 10 The core of the AVID wing is the revolutionary composite material UX 10.
- Composition: Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (Dyneema) combined with aramid fibers (Kevlar).
- Weight: 45 percent lighter than standard Dacron.
- Three-way stiffness: Aramid fibers are arranged diagonally to the main fibers, allowing the material to absorb forces evenly in three directions.
- Torsional stability: Increases the stiffness of the leading edge and strut, keeping the wing profile stable even under high loads.
- Durability: The material is highly resistant to UV radiation, abrasion, and moisture.
CANOPY: TEIJIN D2 To achieve the lowest weight, FLYSURFER uses Teijin D2 fabric with double ripstop.
- Material: High-tear-strength polyester fabric.
- Parameters: A weight of 50 grams per square meter ensures agility and immediate response.

AVID VS. TAO2:
- FREESTYLE
- AVID: The clear choice for freestyle. It has a noticeably better roll and excellent acceleration, which is key for dynamic tricks and quick direction changes. It feels livelier, more sensitive, and more playful in your hands.
- TAO: It is more stable but less maneuverable during technical rotations.
- SURF
- AVID: It is more agile and follows the rider more precisely in tight turns. It generates significantly less drag when riding down the line and feels much "slippier" when turning into the wind. It is noticeably lighter, which is an advantage when riding flagged out (holding the wing by the front handle without pull).
- TAO: Offers very stable free-flight characteristics but lacks the extreme lightness and agility of the AVID.
- BIG AIR
- TAO: The TAO2 dominates in this discipline. It has an extremely stable and powerful construction (especially due to the double Dacron frame), which provides strong lift during takeoff. This leads to better jumps and longer hangtime.
- AVID: Also great for jumps thanks to its explosive pop, but it doesn't have the massive lift and air stability of the TAO.
- Main technology difference: While the AVID relies on modern, stiff, and extremely light UPE Aramid (UX10) for playfulness and agility, the TAO2 uses a more robust Double Dacron construction focused on maximum stability in extreme pull and Big Air.

I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to riding this lightweight beauty in some nice waves. Cheers, Piškot.
