What equipment from Naish for pump foiling
My beginnings
It's been some time since I decided to fill my windless days with pumping. When I started, the sport was just in its infancy. Ideal boards and foils for pumping did not work out. We trained on mega foil "shovels".
When importing the first real pump set, I decided to Naish JET HA 2140.
Time has progressed and manufacturers have realized that it is necessary to start developing wings suitable for pumping. Since my beginnings of pumping, I had the opportunity to ride on pump foils from several manufacturers such as Axis, SabFoil, Gong, Armstrong, Indiana.

I was very pleased with the information that Naish also came with a wing intended for pumping. And thanks to kiteboarding.cz, I had the opportunity to try it, which I couldn't resist, since Naish was my first pumping "special".
Construction
After the shipment arrived and it was unpacked, I can't be proud of the design of the Naish Glider 1800 HA wing. This wing not only looks good, but also drives incredibly well. With its driving characteristics, it playfully hides such a legend as the Axis 1300. But in a nice order.
The assembly that I had the opportunity to try consists of a NAISH Glider 1800 HA front wing, a 2D 250 stabilizer, a 64cm Glider HA fuselage and a 75cm aluminum mast.
After assembling the set, you get a structurally advanced pumping weapon. Naish did an excellent job with the set.

When you pump, you create a lot of pressure on the foil in the water, which can damage it. Therefore, structural strength is also important, so that you do not tear the front wing or fuselage from the mast during budding. Naish left nothing to chance with this lineup. Each joint on the foil is extremely strong.
The front wing is attached to the fuselage using a structural "lock" where the wing and fuselage fit together. The attachment of the front wing itself consists of five screws, two of which are shorter located on the sides. When assembling the front wing, I recommend first tightening the three main screws, and finally the two side screws, loosening them in the same order during disassembly.

The stabilizer is mounted from the upper side of the fuselage. On the upper side, there are two positions for attaching the stabilizer. Thumbs up for the possibility to change the location of the stabilizer on the fuselage, because it is a big advantage when pumping the stabilizer without changing the fuselage. I used it myself when setting up the assembly and moved the stabilizer closer to the mast over time.

Aluminum grease, extremely light. It saves you not only weight but also your wallet compared to carbon. The attachment of the mast to the fuselage is by means of two M8 screws, where the strength is guaranteed. In the upper part, the manufacturer did not skimp on strength, and the plate is also attached to the mast with side screws in addition to the main screws.

And how does it drive?
This wing is intended for several disciplines. I evaluate the build from the dockstart - static point of view. This means just rebounding and jumping onto the board with no run-up.
When jumping statically, it is important that the wing keeps you at a low speed above the surface after jumping on the board and tends to glide. The wing NAISH Glider 1800 has this feature. I was surprised by this feature, as it always takes me a while to get used to the given type of assembly when switching to another foil manufacturer. With Naish, it was the second attempt. It was more difficult with the pumping itself, as the design of the wing requires creating less pressure on the front leg during pumping. After getting to know each other and understanding that finesse is needed, a symbiosis between me and the team took place in the form of wonderful rides.
Evaluation:
NAISH did not rush to the market with a wing intended for pumping. He took his time and took advantage of the opportunity to pick up mistakes, such as (structural strength, saving the rider's energy when pumping, glide of the wing).
And it was worth taking your time, because the Glider 1800 wing meets all the mentioned characteristics.
Nowadays, there are a large number of manufacturers of pumping foils on the market. Construction and driving characteristics gradually narrow significantly between them. The price, the availability of the goods and, above all, the possibility of a successful claim for defective goods are decisive. From my own experience, it is not pleasant to deal directly with the manufacturer in the home country in case of a complaint. You can avoid all this if you turn to the people under the leadership of Lenka Žůrková.
Recommendation:
A board no larger than 90cm! A smaller board will allow you to control the placement of your feet when jumping. Aluminum grease is sufficient (it is strong and light). I would choose a smaller stabilizer. And is the set suitable for the beginnings of pumping? Yes it is. You need to arm yourself with body protection (neoprene, vest, helmet) and patience!!!
